• New SCOCO Warm-Ups

  As we move towards our July 1^st name change, I’m excited to share the new warm-ups of Skating Club of Central Ohio.  We’ve chosen Blue Skys to manufacture the new warm-ups; Blue Skys has an international reputation for quality garments that last.  Each jacket and pants are custom-made based on each skater’s measurements.  In addition, Blue Skys will alter garments for free during the first thirty days, and fix any problems that occur during the first year (e.g, a broken zipper).  The jacket and pants are made of SuperMicroft, a lightweight water-resistant fabric and are fully machine-washable (and come out looking great!).  Younger skaters may choose to add an inch of growing room to both the height and the width of their warm-ups. 

              Our jackets will be deep purple, gray, and black (please see the attached diagram), with black warm-up pants.  On the back of the jacket, the new SC*CO logo will be embroidered in metallic silver thread, and skaters may choose to have their names or a skate blade embroidered on the front chest for an additional fee.

              The jackets are slightly more expensive than the Jammin jackets ordered three years ago.  Orders submitted by June 19^th will cost $165 (in comparison to $120 for the old Jammin jackets); this price includes a 10% discount.  We feel that the outstanding quality and longevity of Blue Skys products are more than worth the additional cost over other available manufacturers.

              My childhood club used Blue Skys for their warm-ups, and over ten years later (and hundreds of washings), my jacket and pants still look brand-new.  If anyone is interested in seeing the quality and fabric of the warm-ups, please feel free to ask to see my old warm-ups.
